Use & Application
USP/EP grade Tween 20 is used as pharmaceutical excipient, acting as solubilizer, emulsifier and stabilizer for oral liquids, injections, topical creams and eye preparations. It can improve the solubility of lipophilic active ingredients and stabilize emulsion systems. It is also widely used as detergent and blocking agent for ELISA and Western blot in biochemistry labs.
Cosmetic grade Tween 20 serves as oil-in-water emulsifier and solubilizer in skincare, shampoo, body wash and perfume formulations. It helps dissolve essential oils and fragrance, reduce surface tension and produce stable, mild cosmetic emulsions.
Food grade Tween 20 (E432) works as food emulsifier, wetting agent and dispersant. It is applied in bakery, confectionery, flavor and beverage to stabilize oil-water mixture, improve texture and prevent separation.
Industrial grade Tween 20 functions as wetting agent, dispersant and antistatic agent in textile, coating, pesticide and cleaning industries. It improves the permeability of textile auxiliaries and stabilizes pesticide aqueous emulsions.
